About Us

Willie J. Mitchell Jr. along with his wife, Nicole Mitchell (m.1992), are the founders of ReClaim Ministries, a groundbreaking ministry serving the incarcerated, formally incarcerated and their families. We help them, ReClaim, Declare and Live out their royal identity in Christ. 

ReClaim Ministries, is a product of Willie’s own shattered self-image, emotional brokenness and a prepossession of his identity. As a result of this condition, he was convicted and sentenced to 25 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division. TDCJ-ID, became a proverbial cocoon of transformation. During his incarceration, he earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree, Paralegal, Reentry Crisis Counselor and Belief Therapist certifications. He is currently enrolled at Southwestern Seminary pursuing a Bachelors in Ministry; in view of a Doctor of Ministry.

His ministerial service includes: Youth Visitation Coordinator (Prison Impact), Freedom Project Group Facilitator (Harris County Sheriffs Department), Peer Educator with Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), Group Facilitator (Bridges to Life),Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division Volunteer Chaplains services and serves as a Justice Ambassador with Prison Fellowship.
